WELCOME MESSAGE FROM THE DESK OF THE PRESIDENT

 

WAELE/ARCELFA was founded to advocate on the elimination of discrimination against women among others are:-

 Encourage women to actively participate in politics and sustenance of democratic governance

 Mobilize and sensitize women to attain their political Potentialities.

 Educate women about their reproductive health and Rights.
4
 Advocate on peace and conflict resolution in Africa.

 Advocate against rape and killings of women in war – torn African Countries.
5
 Support democracy through monitoring of election process among others.

The implementation of the Beijing declaration & Platform of Action bring global policy instruments on women empowerment and gender equality which gave unprecedented attention to women’s human rights and fundamental freedoms. The last 15 years have seen important advances for women in our pursuits for equality.

The empowerments of women are effective way to combat poverty, hunger and stimulate development that is truly sustainable. It is therefore my belief that working together, we can be a tool in emancipation and advancement of African women.

Great women of Africa, let join hand in contributing to eradication poverty, hunger and war in our continent.
